In a market saturated with gourmands and synthetic bravado, this creation inspired from the British perfumer known for their minimalist packaging and layered compositions, ventures into a less commercial terrain. It opens with an assertive green note and quickly settles down by a mellow almost nostalgic and vintage warmth hinting at aged woods or earth after it rains. On my skin i suspect a vetiver note at the base grounding the blend in quiet gravitas. No sweetness, no over sensuality. Jo stands out in its distinctive composition from the mainstream inspired collections. A solid candidate for a signature scent. Versatile for all seasons and daily wear. Maybe suitable more for early thirties and above because of a certain maturity and vintage feel to it. Wear it with a curated dress and it should stand out. I haven’t tried the original composition but this has compelled me to do so but i am sure Jo has delivered a masterstroke on its own. Easy blindbuy worthy but with all fragrances, sample it.
